
Legal Framework Committee
The Legal Framework Committee (LFC) is a Strategic Management Committee established to provide advice to the KLISC executive committee. It is a permanent, standing committee with recommending powers. The committee is a non executive committee of KLISC Executive and has no executive powers other than those specifically delegated in these TORs. The Committee shall report to the Executive.
Our Mandate
- Monitor the legal framework in which KLISC operates and advise the Consortium of relevant changes
- Develop, implement and manage emerging and existing policy issues of direct relevance to KLISC members
- Review and recommend on legal reform plans within the context of current constitutional dispensation.
- Make recommendations to the KLISC Executive on such policy initiatives having broad implications for the membership and/or the industry.
- Promote member awareness of emerging legal and regulatory issues
- Review, annually, the Terms of Reference of the sub-committee and forward the same to the Executive Committee.
- Provide an annual report to KLISC. Review, coordinate and arbitrate major LF activities across the KLISC members.
